AutoFold gives users full interactive control over the unfolding process.AutoFold Standard unfolds 3-D metal parts into flat blank layouts withautomatic compensation for bend allowance. AutoFold Advanced contains allthe features of AutoFold Standard and also creates 3-D formed (folded)views from existing 2-D (flat) drawings.After completing a 3-D model for a formed part, users can run AutoFoldand tell the system the material thickness, bend radius, and K-factor forthe model. AutoFold will calculate the bend allowance for each bend orlet users enter predetermined bend allowances or compensation for parts.After selecting points, AutoFold will then unfold the geometric figureand compensate for bend allowance. AutoFold handles bends of any angle ororientation, and parameters can be changed at any time.
